Early in his career Mr. Johnson learned that homeowners need assistance in providing the information and documentation needed to begin a project and follow it through to completion. After all, "No job is finished until the paperwork is done".
Documents such as industry standard drawings that meet code and specifications for a clear understanding of the project, to the documents that make up the red tape required to be submitted for the approvals required by the regulatory bodies of the government.
In his effort to be a full service, residential, contractor he continued his education by attending industry specific classes at San Francisco City College and West Valley College. He learned how to use computers (Still a new industrial frontier when Mr. Johnson became licensed and began his business in 1983.), CADD computer programs, word processors, and spread sheet programs. His wife took a night class on Lotus123 and it was not long before the class project was developing the program to meet the needs of their new business.
In an effort to maintain their technical lead they recently upgraded from a HP Designjet 110plus NR to an Epson SC-T3170 large format printer. With this equipment they are able to produce the industry standard 24" X 36" drawings for the permit approval and construction processes.
